Hey, I am after an air conditioned out door dog house for my dogs, I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get one from in Thailand?

Ideally it would have dog flaps and maybe a 5000BTU air con, when its hot outside I have them inside with air con as outside is too hot for them, wondering if these are sold in Thailand?

Cheers

does some one want to slap the OP around the head with a dead fish for being such a silly boy and tell him you do know its a dog rolleyes.gif

Mr SP. Don't you think it's lovely he loves and cares for his dogs so much. I do.

The OP should be careful and not set the thermostat too low. If he sets it in the low 20ies he might do the dogs more harm than good.....especially with them running in and out all the time.

I cared more for my dog that I had for 10 years than I did some of my family - man's best friend.

which is all great but you didn't buy an air-conditioned kennel did you and even specify the BTU required ?...laugh.png

Don get me wrong I used to have a few dogs while living in a hot country, but if they got hot, they went in the swimming pool for a paddle to cool down, not an airconned kennel

A plastic pool is cheaper, and more fun, and they get some exercise..

Oh sorry, you mean for sleeping..

A fan?

Cheers, yeah I think I will look for one of those prebuilt wooden huts and try to fit the smallest BTU aircon unit inside, ill post pics of how it turns out anyway, they do have a massive cement mix bowl but dont go in it much

I understand people love their pets, but millions starving in the world and many without shelter, and yet there are dogs living in air-conditioned kennels. And the dog probably couldn't care less anyway, I don't know...

my sentiments exactly...

Do you really think the dog will sleep in the house? Of all the silly things a doghouse with air conditioning. Will you allow sleepovers?

Yes it can be arranged

maybe dog owners should buy dogs that actually suit where they live instead of torturing them, having a dog that is meant for a cooler climate in Thailand is the height of ignorance, especially for people that claim to be dog lovers. Have you thought of shaving their coats over the summers or do you simply want them to "look" perfect for your own benefit all the time. I had a long haired dog in Australia, winters were 0 celsius but summers were in the 40's at times, he got shaved at the local dog barn every spring(looked funny but he loved it) and by mid autumn would have his coat back for the cold temps. Try using your brain, they need to be able to adjust body temps easily as they move around a lot more that people, constantly in and out of an air conditioned area is not a good idea health wise for them and definitely not normal. If your that concerned why dont you give them the house and you move out.

He gets a trim every now and again, they even shave his lower regions.. rather them than me.

It was just an idea, but I might take your idea and move out leaving the 4 bedroom house to the 2 dogs.. wish I had thought of that before, cheers.

We bought a concrete mixing trough and stuck that in the dog pound (which is fully shaded) The dogs use it most days. You have to think about emptying it. They get an occasional haircut and are often happy when the noisy deleteds go to sleep in the afternoons.

hi Ryanhull

i had a thai company here in phuket, build us a special cat enclose for our 3 monsters so they are locked up at night and not roaming around.... i will attach a photo. i am sure he could build you once which you could add an air-con to..

maybe perspex walls on the outside of the wire so they can still look out.... this guy does a lot of stainless steel work for me at my villa (gates) and the development we live in he is excellent..

the best way to do it is research on the internet one you like and send him the photo and ask him to build to dimensions that fit your requirement or space.... the cat ensure we had made was approximately thb25,000

and is excellent construction and powder coated green....

if you need him email or number drop me a reply good luck.. for some reason i cannot attach a photo but if you view this website this is what i sent to him..

bettapetsystems.com.au

- he built me the larger cat enclosure but i had if made with larger dimensions.....

Well if it gets too cold in there you could always knit a woolly jumper for him.

Just a comment on Thai dogs and clothing always find that amusing.
