Lovely thread yest about sick note 11, some very talented players mentioned in that thread that were very talented but..injury prone.

I am asking, who would be in your super flops XI, A super flop can be any much hyped up player wither from youth ranks or bought

for a huge fee but how ever failed to deliver, to live up to expectations.

I'll get the ball rolling, and in no particular order.

Juan Sebastian Veron (Man United & Chelsea)

Hernan Crespo (Chelsea)

Andrey Shevchenko (Chelsea)

Fernando Torres (Chelsea)

Fellani (Man United)

Balotelli (Liverpool)

At the moment radamel falcao for United

Doh! Missed that one!

I'd defo have Falcao in there, due to expectation and of course huge fee's paid in total for an on loan player.

just at liverpool we could have andy carroll, robbie keane, alberto aquilani. . . .jury out on dejan lovren but at £20m it ain't looking great. el-hadji diouf counts as well.

alexandre pato is up there for biggest flops ever. robinho at city and elsewhere. jose antonio reyes, albert luque, anderson at united. . .

Bebe at Man u....Even he thought the 7.5m price was a joke.

Ali Dia worth a mention even though he didn't cost. Convinced Souness he was George Weah's cousin (even though he was a different nationality)cheesy.gif

Wilfried Zaha didn't turn out well.

United also had a Chinese guy whom they bought and then didn't even give him a shirt number. He went back to China after his contract finished.

And who can forget Bebe

Edit:- Wilai didn't forget Bebe. And I googled the Chinese guy. It was Dong Fangzou. 3.5m United paid in 2004 and didn't even give him a shirt number.

Off topic.

Sounds odd and illogical, but I am of different nationality to my cousins as I am half Spanish (born there, lived a lot of my life there) I have but never used

Spanish nationality. I am UK national, but my (some of) cousins are Spanish nationals. You could say I am dual nationality, though.

Bit like that Thai-swedish model (cant rember her name in Thailand, very different from what she uses in Europe, something Lundberg. She is actually Thai-Iranian born to Thai mother and Iranian father, later adopted by Swedish step father. She could legitimately claim to have cousins from Thailand, Iran and not biologically speaking Sweden.

Good stuff, some long forgotten flops in there. Keep it on clap2.gif

Zlatan at Barca a bit of a stretch I'd say. More of a poor fit than a flop.

Erik Lamela is working on his resume.

zalatan won the league with every team he's played for. nowhere near a 'flop'.

think shevchenko at chelsea is the zenith of this. best striker in europe, £30m, then nothing. even more than torres.

Where is Soldaduddo?

Sergei Rebrov?

Classic tiny totts misfiring strikers.

We had the "Fox in the box" Jeffers and the legendary Peter Marinello.

Good stuff peep's!

I thought Hernan was great Delboy! He was great at curving his run away from the centre backs. The problem was our midfielders could never see it. I remember seeing him play for Palma in his prime. Superb striker.

Just to upgrade you on Fellaini Derek M. He was injured came back ,scored vital goals for United, won MOM and scored last week for his country. Now rated by LVG as undroppable as recently as yesterday. That's your version of a flop ?

How much did it work out per goal for Rebrov? Half a mill or something?
