Don't forget that metal faceplates must be grounded to be safe, no issues with outlets but few lighting circuits have grounds here.

I doubt that separate metal face plates for light switches and power points are going to be available in Chiang Mai. Usually you have to buy the whole set, meaning a new switch or power-point that has marching plates.

This I have found to be the case with many items over the years.
