hi. i need a BRP to apply for citizenship ( for my wife ).

when my wife and kids got ILR visa (uk) we went to Croydon and they took her biometrics and fingerprints. and were given a residence permit.

do i just quote the number on the front of this card?

It's biometric data invisible for you but stored on a chip that can be read by customs. The icon at the bottom of this passport cover means that it contains such a microchip.

Yes, the number in the top right hand corner of the BRP, as per Tony M's attachment, inserted at question 1.1 of Form AN, as below.

The OP is asking about a Biometric Residence Permit, not a passport.

Yet the answer is the same.
