what does a biometric residence permit look like?

Featured Replies

hi. i need a BRP to apply for citizenship ( for my wife ).

when my wife and kids got ILR visa (uk) we went to Croydon and they took her biometrics and fingerprints. and were given a residence permit.

do i just quote the number on the front of this card?

thanks

It's biometric data invisible for you but stored on a chip that can be read by customs. The icon at the bottom of this passport cover means that it contains such a microchip.

Yes, the number in the top right hand corner of the BRP, as per Tony M's attachment, inserted at question 1.1 of Form AN, as below.

The OP is asking about a Biometric Residence Permit, not a passport.

Yet the answer is the same.

Whilst your response was helpful and informative, Mcffee, maybe you unintentionally missed the point of the OP's question.

I'm not going to quote your post, elliss. A pet hate is quoted posts with no new narrative as it appears lazy posting. Sorry.
