Are S6 unlocked in Thailand?

Featured Replies

I've seen in another thread the claim that phones sold in Thailand are not locked. Is that still true for the Samsung S6? I.e. if I buy from DTAC or AIS it doesn't matter?

I was looking for the 64GB edge in gold yesterday. Samsung in Central, Pattaya, doesn't have it. They referred me to DTAC or AIS, which surprised me, they wouldn't even order it.

Bought an S6 at a Samsung Branded shop (actually run by Jaymart) - was unlocked.

Slightly off topic, but how much are they charging for a 32gB S6 edge? Also, from the op it looks like 64gB ones aren't freely available, but has anyone seen one for sale? I'm out of Thailand right now and want to know if its worth buying one here (where the 32gB model is also all that's available) or wait till I get back.

Cheers.

It's 27,900. I asked around Central again yesterday, you can't even order a 64GB.
