Another Post Office Question

Featured Replies

Anyone know why Jomtien po was so busy this morning. Lots of locals all seemingly doing the same thing, They were filling out a single one page form and seemed most were giving money to the post-mistress. I was in line to send a western union and really made the people behind me wait a lot longer.

Many will have just got paid (4 Sept) and will be sending money home to their familys..or payments for mobile phones/motorbikes

The first working week of every month is always busy in the Post Office. This month Setember: 4th-8th will be particularly busy because people must send money home to their provinces using the post office envelope service and the immediate 'online' service for 40 baht.

I avoid using the post office (except for posting letters) during the beginning of a month.
