my friend used a visa company to get his TGF to the u.k , no problem there, but at the embassy interview she said she would only be stopping in the u.k for 3 weeks as she is a school teacher and she has 2 young children ( both true )

she got to u.k this tuesday , called me that night and said she was realy stopping untill 21 october almost the full 6 months , my question is will she have problems if she wants to return to the u.k after this visa is finnished ? and if they

married while she,s in the u.k now would she get british visa with no problems , thanks

Certainly staying in the UK for six months, when in her application she stated she intended to visit for three weeks, calls into question the credibility of her reasons to return and would almost certainly be the subject of further examination in future visa applications.

What she plans to do doesn't breach Immigration rules as plans do change, but that's one heck of a change and the ECO would be forgiven for thinking that this was always the intention.

I can understand why ECO's robustly examine claims made in applications.

As the oldgit has said that is a very big difference in the length of time she has told them she wanted to stay and the length of time she intends to stay. My mother in law came over last year and due to family circumstances her travel plans changed and came and left the UK at different dates then I had specified, I think she spent about 4 weeks longer then I had put on the application form. When I applied for another visa for her a about a month ago I just put in the sponsors letter why the dates had changed and was issued the visa without any problems. But you friend is in my opinion really pushing her luck if she wants to come to the UK again unless she has a very good reason as to why she stayed best part of 5 months longer than she had stated.

As said, what she is doing is not against the letter of the immigration rules; but in any future visit application she will have to explain to the ECOs satisfaction why she stayed so much longer than originally stated and, perhaps more importantly, how she was able to do so..

Especially as she said she had to return after three weeks because of her teaching job!

How will she explain being away from her teaching job for 6 months?

I hope it was not the agency she used who encouraged her to effectively lie in her application. If it was; tell her never to use them again!

It probably wont effect any future settlement application, though should be explained in that as well.

BTW, what embassy interview? Most UK visa applicants, especially for visit visas, aren't interviewed.
