Just had to open this thread to say well done "norn iron"for the fabulous win over Spain.Who would have thought after the disaserous 3-0 defeat against Iceland we would have answered our critics in such emphatic manner.Lets face it we are ranked 73 in the world and we defeat the 7th ranking team.In my book thats pretty amazing.Also well done david Healey why he is not playing Premiership football is truly astounding.

But I guess the reason for Healy not playing in the Prem is because Leeds are S88te.

Well done!! I can also remember N. Ireland beating Spain 1-0 in the 82 World cup Finals. Not sure who scored the winner. Was it Gerry Armstrong??

Spot on Spit it was indeed.You know after the match it was put to healy that after he was now sure to be granted legend status in Ulster to which he replied that the true legends were Gerry Armstrong and Billy Hamilton as the were the World cup boys!!Humility as well as talent a rare combination indeed!!

Well after a battling and well deserved goaless draw in Copenhagen and last nights superb win against Latvia Ulster are sitting joint second with 7 points.With Sweden and Denmark to play each other i can see them negating each other and in a dream scernario playing out 2 draws thus both dropping 4 points.Also Spain sitting on only 3 points after 3 games they too could take points of the afore-mentioned so i think things are looking encouraging for Norn Iron.Come on the boys!!!!!!!!!!!

NortHern Ireland 2-Sweeden 1- Well the dream continues and if you are David Healy it must feel like a dream.He has now scored 9 goals in 5 games in this campaign which incedentally makes him the top scorer across all qualifying groups and infact he has scored more goals than the entire English team .What he has to do to get the world aclaim he deserves i just dont know.Why he is not at a top Premiership club is a further mystry!!!But in all seriousness Northern Ireland have a great chance of qualification and what a feet that would be.May i remind you that we have Spain,Sweeden and Denmark in our group and we are now topping it!!Magnificant.Its a pity the British press dosen,t gice us the aclaim we deserve too........Just to finish with a quote from one of our songs...@we,re not Brazil we,re Northern Ireland!!!!!
