Advice on finding month rental along Huay Kaew

Hello,

I'm seeking a furnished place to rent for one month starting in early or mid July. Prefer close to Huay Kaew Rd. perhaps in area of Rincome or Phucome intersections. I've stayed before in Chom Doi and Lanna 3 apartments. Now I know such units often are owned by people who reside elsewhere. I'd rather deal directly rather than go through a real estate agent or the building management. If you have a unit, or could put me in touch with someone who does, would you please PM me? I'm a very responsible teacher/editor who comes to Chiang Mai often. Unit be inexpensive, quiet, bright, with kitchen, good view, Internet access, privacy (not have to face guards, maids, receptionists, etc., on way in/out all the time).Thank you.

I would suggest private landlords wouldnt want to rent for a month. Its too much of a ball ache to prepare tenancy agreements take security deposits they want 6months 12month plus.

Your best bet is to park in somewhere like The Dome for 10k a month its a hotel really.

Or for half that rate maybe more park yourself in thr Huay Kaew residence..

And for 6-8k a month the chiang mai lodge; the pink palace; the sunshine lodge and baan sabai all on the same road within 400m of eachother.

Thrn theres the Green hotel at 8k a month full of chinese totty and the of course the two big ones popular with expats here the names i always forget.

Many choices.

If I were an owner, I'd have to wonder what he's going to do in the room that he doesn't want to face guards, receptionists, maids. It could be something that would damage the fixtures and contents in the room. Most people appreciate a having a little security in the place where they live.

Bringing girls obviously. This is my problem also. All those people can not keep their mouth shut.

Well, yes, that's the obvious reason, but you never know. He could be cooking up something and I don't mean fried rice.

It's a trade-off isn't it? Privacy to bring girls to your room means you don't have security either. No CCTV, no one watching the comings-and-goings. Wouldn't it just be better to take overnight visitors to a guest house room, rather than to the place where you live and keep your valuables? If things go sour, she won't know where you live, either.
