St. Louis OBGYN suggestion

Featured Replies

Can anybody suggest me an obgyn (female) in St. Louis. After miscarriage this is second time I got pregnant. Need a good understanding doc

I have been favorably impressed by Dr. Petcharat Pitahongnun, but my dealings with her were not in regard to pregnancy but other gyn.

Chemistry between doctor and patient can vary with the individuals involved, the interpersonal style that suits one patient may not suit another. Still, I liked her, found her to be both kind and straighforward/honest. So I suggest you give her a try.

Unless your miscarriage was associated with some known problem on your part (usually not the case), you are at no more risk of another one than if you had never miscarried, and the odds are certainly in your favor. A certain percentage of pregnancies spontaneously miscarry (15-20%) for reasons that have nothing to do with the mother and no implications for future pregnancies. So unless there is a known problem on your side, the odds are 80-85%% in your favor with this new pregnancy -- more than that with each passing day. (Miscarriage, if it occurs, will usually be in the first 7-8 weeks. ).
