Translating an address

I'm trying to send ship something to Chiang Mai but I need to translate the address to English.

Can someone help me translate this address? And I guess in general, how does one go about translating an address? Like how would you restructure it and so forth?

Why would you want to translate it to English?

Just write THAILAND underneath to make sure it gets shipped to Thailand.

Once it's in Thailand I'm pretty sure the mailman there will be able to read the address in Thai, better than in English

Thanks for the response. I thought that's all I would need to do as well but the guy at the post office wanted me to fill out the label on the express shipping form and the customs form and told me it needed to be translated to English. Perhaps he's wrong but I was certainly in no position to argue with him considering I had never shipped anything to Thailand.

To add some confusion

I think the layout of the Thai adress is a bit unlucky, as it wants to say "Sanambinkao Road Nr. 13".

A road to the airport.

And this ban is not a village (as usually in addresses) but an appartment house, this one from FB:

Its OK to abbreviate (as is done in Thai) the T(ambon) and A(mphoe) and leave away the C(hangwat)=Province.

The last designator before the zip code is always the province.

If necessary you could put T.. and A... on one line and put the zip code after Chiang Mai.

And/or "52000 Thailand", whatever fits best.

I good lesson about the chaotic world of Thai transcription.

The above is all in RTGS (Muang -> Mueang)

They call themself "Ban Tanpayorm" with the useless "r"

Is it forbidden to put an additional sticker in Thai on the package?

Though this address is fairly simple to find, so don't bother.

Agree with KhunBENQ as I too would advise that the OP additionally place the address in Thai on the envelope/package (it can't hurt and might help).

I see the Facebook page showing the address of the place as 13 (Tanon Sanambingao) Old Airport Road and so I presume that's the street number for the condo/apartment building. Initially I thought it might be a condo/unit number but I must be wrong there.

The post office probably wants the address also in Latin script because they have to type it into a computer.
