Traffic on the Prajadhipok Rd in the mornings (M-F)... ?

Featured Replies

I am considering a job in the Thon Buri area.

For the first few months I plan to be commuting by public transportation and was wondering how bad traffic is on the road from the BTS2 line to the Jao Praya/Chao Phraya river in the early mornings.

Google maps reports the bus should take 20min but it is almost always unreliable when traffic is packed. How packed (Lot Dtit Maak?) does the road get in the morning around 6:30 to 7:30 AM?

I can take the BTS1 and BTS2 from where we are thinking about getting an apartment (Phra Khanong or Wattana) and that will be fairly reliable. What I am worried about is that last leg where I will have to jump on the 85 to get up to the river side (Final destination).

Should I plan for an extra 15-20min or does traffic move fairly easily in the morning there... ??

Thanks,

R

In case anyone else wanted to know the traffic gets pretty bad in the mornings and evenings during school holidays it lightens up quite a bit as usual...
