New Non O dependent visa for my daughter...

Featured Replies

Good day guys,

So this term, I’m in a new school.i knew that it means i gotta go to Penang to get a new Non B Visa. Now my question is this; since my daughter has a NON O Visa basing/under my previous school, does this means that she’s got to exit Thailand too to get a new stamp for NON O?

Hope someone can enlighten me here…

Thanks…

If your daughter has a VALID NON O VISA then it remains valid.

IF she has an extension of stay which was based on your visa/extension of stay she will require a new visa .

Make sure you understand the difference between "VIsas" which are obtained from a Thai Embassy/Consulate and an extension of stay which is provided by a Thai immigration office.

It always pays to know what is stamped in a passport.

That picture relates to an extension of stay not a visa !

Your daughters extension of stay ends with yours.

Thank you... helps a lot...

She should be "legal" in the country.

There is no,as far as I am aware, exemption from normal immigration rules for children with the exception that children are not fined for "overstay"

If you are intending to send the child to school it is likely the school will insist on her being "legal"
