Change of Road Name - 1001 to 1367

Featured Replies

Noticed new signage where they just are finishing the road work at the intersection of the Old San Sai Road which use to be 1001 to 1367.

Perhaps this is to clear up any confusion as the Mae Jo - Phrao Rd is 1001 also.

Maybe an old timer knows if it use to only loop back to 118 and not continue straight as well.

Anyway nice to add another name to the road, guess two wasn't enough confusion smile.png

Here's some pics:

New sign

Google Map - Intersections is right in the middle of map: 121 and 1367 (changed from 1001)

I think that is the Old Mae Joe Road which continues to Prao, not the Old San Sai Road. If it is the old San Sai Road, where/what is the new San Sai Road?

Now will the Mae Joe road from the Super thru Ruam Chook and on up to Prao will be the only 1001,or is there more north of CM?

That would explain the confusion I had with my GPS a few weeks ago when the road sign and the info I was getting weren't in synch.;)

I've never heard anyone refer to it as the Old Mae Jo Road or even ever heard that name at all.

But ....

Some of the people call some of the roads the same name, some of the people call the same road different names and all the people never call all the roads the same name.

I always thought it would be confusing for somebody unfamiliar with the area, traveling around the city on 121, to cross 1001 twice within several kilometers of each other.
