Travelling German beggar with swollen leg is now in Metro Manila

MANILA: -- You would want to think twice before giving money to party boy and travelling beggar Benjamin Holst, who we hear is now in Metro Manila.

On June 11, Facebook user Ariston Mariano posted a photo (see above) of Holst wearing a purple shirt and brown shorts, looking like he passed out, on Sen Gil Puyat Avenue. He had a styrofoam cup in his right hand.

"Please share," Mariano wrote, imploring his friends, in Tagalog, to help so Holst can go back to his country." It's been shared 833 ties as of this writing.

Holst suffers from macrodystrophia lipomatosa which has left his right leg swollen. He knows it's painful to look at and he has been accused of using his condition to get people to help him out.

He had been pulling the same trick in Thailand where he broke the hearts of his benefactors by using his money to party with bar girls.

I went through this before. Doesn't really hurt, but looks like hell. 3 weeks of antibiotics. and it is taken care of. I cannot imagine milking this to get money. Fix the damn thing!. Even the government hospitals know how to cure this without a problem.

Enough with the hating. If this freak prefers to beg for money on the streets of 3rd world nations, then let him. The German government will be happy they don't have to pay him welfare benefits if he prefers to live in someother country.
