The power in the village was off for a few hours and (luckily), I never got

to see a ball bowled.

Was it great bowling, poor batting or a bit of both?

Wonder if the Poms can avoid the follow ontongue.png

Outstanding Stuart Broad, and what a catch from Ben Stokes.

I kept meaning to post a pre match comment stating the loss of Anderson would be a huge fillip for the Aussie batsmen, how happy am i to be proved wrong again biggrin.png .

Please no sour comments on the state of the pitch, was excellent bowling from Broad forcing some poor shots from the Aussie batsmen and the catching was also outstanding.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing the Australian cricket team go down…even my wife going down on me.

Yeah but that normally happens when sides win most of the time.tongue.png

Dare I say it England are coasting along nicely.

10 decent boundaries for Root in making his half century.

come on Stoneyboy, have you never heard of the commentators curse ? smile.png

All out for 60.

Broard has 8 for 15. Excellent bowling with some excellent catches. The old saying catches win matches was evident in this innings.

By jingo.. Thank christ I didnt have to watch that

A nice Trent Bridge seamer's wicket, an overcast morning, and a home-ground bowler, Broad, and that was very soon that. Australia has good attacking batsmen (good for ODIs), but they don't know how to defend... and that was what was needed yesterday.

Then the sun came out, and the Yorkshiremen made hay.

And who thought, at the beginning of the series, that England didn't stand much of a chance? I admit it, I was one of them.

What made me laugh was early on in England's innings, the aussies were trying to give a few verbals. That infantile behaviour looks especially pathetic when you are losing. Hahahaha.

That dreadful Root boy has ruined the weekend. One of the australians should punch him on the nose.

biggrin.png I suggest Johnson,Warner doesn't have the reach.

Any chance of rain?

My first cricket thought this morning was whether England had declared their first innings with half an hour to go and AUstrailia had lost the match in under a day
