Suzie Wong is likely to be closed a while. Who knows how long the midnight closure will be enforced?

I give it 2 days. Same as every stupid decision this government makes.

I heard that Suzie Wong's would be turning into an after school tutoring center and language insitute called Smong Wong (วงศ์สมอง)!

I heard Suzie Wong bar is being renovated into a small theater to be called Suzie Song.

nope. a beach clothing shop. suzie sarong.

Now that they're going to comply with the law they'll be Suzie Wight

YEAH but the ladies are open clap2.gif

Or perhaps a sex and relationship training institute by name of, Susie Prolong or Be Gone.

Sorry!

No no, it's going to be a perfumery called Suzie Pong.

I overheard it will be demolished to make room for the Suzie Klong.

Currently not enough water to do so...

I hear Susie Wong is being changed into a katoy bar called Susie Slong.

Or was is Susie Dong?

I hear Susie Wong is being changed into a katoy bar called Susie Slong.

Interesting! I was told she moved to this Katoy Bar to and it was called Susie Long Slong.

Baccara bar is class, love it in there.......well apart from the 160 baht bottle beers.

Probally lack of customers, its the low season. I agree that its mostly a tourist attraction now, and lady prices are approaching a worldwide standard.

Last night in Soi Cowboy, a mamasan I have known for over 10 years told me it was the result of a police (NOT Thong Lor police) operation where they sent in farang undercover spies. One of these spies barfines a girl out of Suzie Wong and during casual chat asked her how old she was. Silly girl said 17. Bang, she is arresed and Suzie Wong closed down.

Suzie Wong, I am told, is now closed permanently. Although, I have no doubt it will reopen under another name, soonly.

The midnight closing is just another crackdown. Likely it will not last too long, unless there is a new morality push to close down Soi Cowboy completely.

Nothing surprises me in this country anymore. That underage girls work in many bars in Soi Cowboy is a very well known secret. Over the years I have met more than a few myself. What I do not understand, is why these girls do not simply say 18 when ever ANYONE asks their age.

What I do not understand, is why these girls do not simply say 18 when ever ANYONE asks their age.

I expect they had their ID cards which showed their true ages. Any underage girl who is serious about working in a bar would invest in a good quality fake ID.

Those damn farang spies, off with their heads!

Double-edged sword for me.

My condo overlooks Soi Cowboy and, while it's good that there are fewer pissed up farangs shouting at the tops of their voices at 3am, it also means I can't get that bottle of vodka at 3am when the need arises.

Seems Susie Wongs has re-opened the Soi again open until 2am!
