What are these eggs?

Featured Replies

Hi people,

We found these eggs in our flower beds/bushes today. Does anyone know what they are? Basically I want to know if they are some sort of snake egg or not. There were 5-6 of them.

Thanks for any insight.

Edit: They are quite soft so according to the internet I think they are snake eggs. But what type of snake?

To me they look like Cobra Eggs Somtimes you can find them, when some animal has pushed them out of the nest. I would tread on them now. A hached baby Cobra is just a venomous as a fully grown one ( obviously not as much venom ) If you have kidds be careful

Thanks. I do have two young kids so I wasn't taking any chances and I have squished them. If they weren't cobras I apologise to whatever was in there. If they were cobras I apologise to their mum.

But with young kids running around I'm not taking chances.

Stand on them?? Good God man are you a barbarian!? At least scramble them......

They are gecko eggs....

I just saw they are soft.....if they are soft, I'd change and say snake eggs.

They are gecko eggs....

Nope, geckos, both jin jok and tokay, attach their eggs with an adhesive above ground not in soil, maybe another lizard such as a skink.

I also vote for skink. I am always finding them in sandy soil around my place. I know because I have seen some of them hatch after being unearthed.

looks like Sipi's one...but no can't be because as much as i know he still got them with him....gigglem.gif

definitely our geckos don't glue them and hide them in some gaps on the floor.

Dry jackfruit seeds.

Open one up and see.

Don't do it there might be Alien inside.

minature dickasiruios droppings they wander streets late at night

Dry jackfruit seeds.

Open one up and see.

That's what I'd do.

Snip one open and see what they are.

If they are lizards, put them in a safe spot.

If they are cobra's, put them in your Mother in laws under ware drawer.

poor cobras...the small one can't bite thru the skin.....

small cobra he should nurse for a year or two first before giving them to mother in law......Anyway after she finds them they will end in the soup

Well I opened one up and it was pretty eggy inside. I did open it quite forcefully though.

Seeing the comments about lizards - I hope they weren't lizards because they are all squished now, and I like lizards.

*sigh*........ Humans......what we don't understand...we bloody well squish....

Fwiw, cobra eggs are about twice the size of a 10 baht coin, and then some...
