Thai passport validity for Laos-how long to expiry?

My Thai wife and I will be visiting Laos soon for 12 days. She has a Thai passport but it expires in September. I know with my US passport, it must be at least 6 months to expiry. Is this the same for Thai passport?

Yes. She could get border pass for short stays using ID card but better to get new passport - they do not take long to renew.

Passports and/or passport replacing documents must be valid
for at least 6 months from date of arrival.
