Internet Connection

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I am not an IT expert and have tried to find information I need, but got totally lost in the Internet forum. So could you please help me out with some information.

I will be in Thailand for 1 month in October and would like to have internet connection mainly for Skype and or MSN Messaging and sending emails. I will not be surfing the net very much except to find out information on "Thaivisa.com"

I have a Sony laptop (Sony FJ VGN-FJ58SP), Nokia 6220 and Motorolla A925 (Hutchingson 3 phone) and had hoped that I would be able to use these.

I prepaid for internet connection with AIS last time I was in Thailand, but was unsuccessful. (I had tried to use the Motorolla A925 as this is a multimedia handset)

When shopping at Makro in Nakon Sawan, I saw a phone shop called "Hutch" and they had the same logo as "3" in Australia. Does this mean that they are offering 3G service connection?

Bearing in mind I am not an IT expert, simple step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

If this topic has already been covered, please advise me how I can find it.

Thanks for your patience and assistance.

Makyai

Hutch in Thailand is a CDMA service, not GSM.
