Bought in 77 aged 18 for 90 quid ; L Reg (1971?) 1100cc MK1 Ford Escort, 2 door.

Front was rotten with corrosion but it went on and on and on........Sold if for 150 two years later.

Reliable as anything it was I never did anything to it apart from top up the oil and petrol and ahve a look at the water every year or so....

Mine was a 1967 Triumph Spitfire!

I bought it for $500 in 1981 and managed to keep it running for about 3 years. I learned a lot about car repair in those three years, as almost everything that could break down, did!

I think everybody else actually believed me.
