Desperately seeking Gherkins.

Featured Replies

Has anyone on there travels seen any of these very small Gherkins,

or Cornichons, I was able to buy a quantity, a couple of years ago ,

and made them into sweet gherkins ,very nice they were too.

I believe they are grown by The Kings Project, Doi Kham, and maybe

some other farmers,in the markets there are mountains of cucumbers

of all sizes,I even bought some of the smaller one and made into Sweet

gherkins, but I prefer the very small ones.

Thank you, regards Worgeordie

My missus saw them in RimPing (Royal Project brand) a while back, but seemingly hasn't seen any for a while. I'll post if she does.

Thanks, will have a look around after holidays, also

the wholesale market as need a few Kgs.

I see the price of potatoes and onions are quite

a lot cheaper at the wholesale market

paid 20 thb kg potatoes,onions 17 thb kg,compared

to Makro 39 thb kg pots, 28 thb onions, same quality.

quite a difference.

Thanks, but looking for fresh ones as I pickle myself along with onions,

beetroot,and Piccalilli.

We bought some fresh ones last week at Tops KSK. Good quality, but bland when fresh and not pickled.   As said, I believe they're in-season now.
