Martial Arts in CM

Hi all,

Are there any MMA or BJJ(Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) groups running in Chiang Mai? I know Team Quest offer classes but 350 baht or a session is beyond my

teaching wages. Also looking for boxing or any similar martial arts discipline,

Since i have a background in all of the above Im not looking for tutorials, just similar like minded people to grapple/spar/ pad work with.

Alternatively, is anyone with experience interested in setting up a small group like this? I believe the CMU mats can be used for 300 baht a year membership.

There's a BJJ and Judo club at Chiang Mai University Gym. The BJJ practice most day. I teach the Judo but I'm off sick at the moment. There is a suspended floor that I built about 5 years ago, so a nice soft fall. Cost free but you need to join the Gym at 300baht/year.

How about full-contact weapons training? Perhaps it's time to learn another Martial Art at the Chiang Mai Fencing Club. You can choose between sabre, epee, and foil, or learn all three! Msg me for full details.
