Now, having got your attention chaps and chapesses, does anybody know of a shoe repairer in Chang Rai? I need rubber soles and heels putting on a couple of pairs of decent leather soled shoes.

I know I could do it myself, but they would end up looking like Charlie Chaplains boots!

I had some sandals repaired in the main market a few years back.

You would need to ask around to find the place.

The one I have always used is a guy who has a stall in Bandu. He is based at the bottom of the footbridge on the opposite side of Bandu market. I have always found him to be very friendly, helpful and inexpensive.
