Mens leather business shoes?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I'm after a quality pair of leather business shoes (oxford style). I don't care if there custom made or off the shelf, but want something of a good quality.

There are a few threads about custom shoes (http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/7122-custum-made-shoes and ) but I haven't had any luck finding these places (however they may have been closed as I checked today and it's Sunday).

Any suggestions?

There are some quality shoe stores at some of the Malls in Bangkok.I'm surprised that you can't find something your lookin for.

If nothing else just get something now to get by on.The next time you travel International that will be the time to get A pair.

You don't have to go to Bangkok. Robinson's (for one) has superior shoes for men, including shoes imported from Italy and other countries.

I saw a Clarke's Store somewhere around here....prices about double the US. I agree with the advice to get a Thai pair, and wait till you are elsewhere to buy quality name shoes. I brought back 3 pairs of New Balance last time, more important than pots and pans, and in my case even cotton bedsheets, because I'm, a size 47.

Clarkes are near Tesco Lotus Super Highway. At the intersection as you turn to go back into the CBD.....cant remember the name of the road but it leads to the North East corner of the moat.

Florsheim at MAYA has some nice shoes. i tried to buy a very nice pair of shoes marked down from 13,500 to 7,200 but unfortunately they were all made to cater to Asian feet and every pair i tried on were much too narrow. if you have narrow feet you will find very nice shoes there.

Due to uniform requirements I have had to wear these things for almost 20 years. Tried them all and ECCO are the most comfortable. They are not cheap and don't last forever. It helps if you have two pairs and rotate them. Central usually has a good selection.

+1 for Ecco.
