songtaew from zoo to Doi Suthep

I see that there are always a lot of songtaews parked near the zoo.

Do they go to Doi Suthep?

If so, how often and how much is the cost?

They travel as often as they get a full load... don't know the current cost but it was 40 each way , expect more now.

if there is not a full load they will demand 200.

The drivers normally wait until the van is full. they take you up, give you an hour to loook around and bring you back. Not too expensive.

You can also choose to do a much longer tour, including long neck village people and a royal residence with some nice gardens.

Sometimes Songthews act like A taxi.They will take you where and when you want to go if you have the money.Especially if they

Are empty.But naturally they will charge taxi prices.
