The game they play in heaven - RWC 2015 TV venues in CM

Featured Replies

In exactly a month from now one of the great cultural events in the world takes place, the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Does anybody know of any venue with plans to show all if not most of the matches near the city?

As this is a solemn and in many ways religious experience I would rather see games sans backpackers which may knock out the UN Irish.

Is it being broadcast on Thai TV at all.....please Lord, worse comes to worse its internet streaming I guess but with the weather my connection has been dodgy sometimes.

Cymru Am Byth

Chances are Stewie will have it on in DownUnder.

It's on ITV so FilmOn will have it streaming, and they are pretty good (assuming they don't geoblock it).

UNIrishpub?

BitTorrents for me. Watch at my choice of time, next day smile.png

You'll need to have better will power than me to avoid finding out the scores ;)

Not a problem. Watch all my sport this way. Watch the next morning, before looking at news websites.

I haven't checked yet but hope the game timings are reasonable ie not at 2am Thai timezone. If they are then finding a venue open and showing important games could be difficult. Down Under pub gets my vote

England is 6 hours behind us so a 8pm kickoff in London is 2am in Chiang Mai. Not looking good for venues (pubs) at that time of day. As we say in kiwi land....Bugger!

Say....do. And as for those poor sheep.

ThaiExpat.tv have all the games on-demand. Many of the kick-offs are late 2am here), so I'll be watching them over breakfast. Upstairs at the UN Irish used to have a good atmosphere for games - I presume it still does.
