longtail boat costs

Featured Replies

Being in Khanom, asked the someone if I can rent a boat (these normal longtail) and they bring me to a place where scuba diving is possible.

They told yes if I have everything myself....I have.

They need to speak which spots are OK as usually they do for snorkeling only, but sure the captains know.

Price depends on how long/how far.

Anyone has some experience what usual prices are? I guess the diesel (look like 2 stroke diesel engines) is some major factor...but some over the thumb values?

In that area for 2 tanks I would look at max 1,500 Baht, probably less. Presuming divesites are close by. If not close by I would not consider a longtail.

thanks! What do you mean by 2 tanks?

I have all the equipment myself (including tanks and compressor).

Although I haven't rented a boat thus far last time I asked, a year ago, it was around 3000 Baht for a full day but I can't remember if that included the fuel or not.

This was in Trang, and not in an area ehmmm... suffering from heavy tourism, in other more popular places the price may be higher.

Well area around Khanom isn't "heavy" tourism.....When I asked on the pier I could hardly find a person.....and no tourists smile.png
