Army Chief: Investigation into Ratchaprasong bombing cannot be rushed

BANGKOK, 28 August 2015 (NNT) - Army Chief General Udomdej Sitabutr is asking the public to be patient and give authorities more time to investigate the Ratchaprasong bombing and deliver results.

The Deputy Defense Minister added that even though the case has made significant progress, the investigation cannot be rushed.

General Udomdej said the premeditated nature of the bombing requires that all factors be taken into consideration. Authorities need to be confident that the evidence they find is connected to the explosion, before they can announce it to the public.

The basis given for moving slowly is that the bombing was premeditated. Could someone from the press please ask him to explain how a bombing might not be premeditated?
