DSL line at the house for high speed internet. How secure is it using a VPN?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of getting a DSL line at the house to get cheap fast internet. Can you recommend a company that offers a good package and how much?

A side issue is that currently I use my apple mac (mobile network sharing wifi) to surf adult sites sometimes. I obviously use a VPN. Obviously surfing these romantic sites is illegal in the LOS. If I revert to using DSL line do you think there are risks with getting into trouble as the internet provider will obviously have my home address and can pass this on easily- as opposed to my current situation where its wifi and thus its hard for anyone to track me down. I'm only talking about normal adult sites that are totally legal to surf in any western country.

Presumably using the VPN would be enough protection but if they keep log files or there is a slip up with the VPN then maybe one can be in breech of the computer crimes act if I surf them via a DSL line. What do you think?

thanks

The govt don't give a f ck about someone watching porn in their house lol

They would have to arrest every single Thai teenager and probably man as well if they tried to Enforce that :)

I have never heard of a single bust for watching porn and that's even without using vpns or tor etc

In short, don't worry...
