Seriously ? You "lose" your passport and instead of going to your embassy to apply for a new one, you just happen to know a counterfeiter that will make you a fake for only 70,000 baht ?

And then you take the fake to Immigration ? (Won't even bother mentioning that Turkish passport holders are probably going to be scrutinized a lot closer than they may have been before the Bangkok bombing so his timing was as poor as his judgement appears to be.)

He went to get a new visa. Shows the depth of checking done pre-Erawan, nobody noticed his passport was a fake before. How many sellers of fake Turkish passports are there here, maybe the police could issue a league table country by country. In the UK Nigeria heads the list by a country mile.

He went to get a new visa. Shows the depth of checking done pre-Erawan, nobody noticed his passport was a fake before...

When did he start using a fake passport?

He used his fake passport to leave Thailand and the immigration officer did not notice it was fake.

Then he used his fake passport to get a visa from a Thai consulate and nobody at the consulate realised it was fake.

When returning to Thailand with his fake passport, again the immigration officer did not recognise the passport as a fake.

Only when he then went to an immigration office for an extension of stay was it discovered that his passport was fake.

What kind of IT system is immigration using that they were unable to detect the fake passport at border exit and entry points?

Just because he has a fake Turkish passport does not mean he is Turkish...

Maybe they should look at the back of his shirt... giggle.gif

And a yellow shirt as well. Not the sharpest of tools is he

No and can you say anyone in the room is...

It appears with all the investigations going on with the recent bombing, Turkish officials have

educated Thai immigration officials on the hidden methods to determine if a Turkish

passport is authentic. All those who have/are using one of these counterfeits beware. coffee1.gif

haaaa haaaa You have to love the stupidity of these idiots, and well done Thailand for knowing it was fake, deport him after he has had a bit of time in jail first, so that they can do many checks to see who he really is and if he is up to no good, maybe he is not from Turkey
