ART IN PUBLIC SPACE
World renown American street painter brings her artworks to Thailand

BANGKOK: -- An American chalk artist and street painter Tracy Lee Stum, a world renown 3-D street artist and Guinness World Record holder, will conduct her artworks in Bangkok this week.

Tracy will take part in events open to the public and press as follows. The events include:

On Thursday, "Art on the Street Lat Phrao 112" Community Project at Santichon Islamic School, Lat Phrao Soi 112. Tracy will conduct a 3-D chalk art painting workshop for high school students from local schools in the area and will create a permanent 3-D street art piece in collaboration with eight local artists.

On Saturday to Sunday, the public is welcomed to witness Tracy's "LIVE 3-D painting," capture her creative process at Terminal 21 Shopping Center, 5th Floor, San Francisco Zone.

On September 21, "The Official Launch of U.S. Arts Envoy's Art in Public Space" at Terminal 21 Shopping Center, 5th Floor, San Francisco Zone. U.S. Chargé d'affaires W. Patrick Murphy will preside over the event and join Tracy to in chalk painting at 6pm.

Her visit was part of the Department of State's U.S. Arts Envoys Program. Tracy's visit celebrates the American tradition of freedom of expression and street art.

Second terminal at Don Mueang expected to open in November

BANGKOK: -- The Criminal Court today sentenced four redshirt leaders to four years and four months in prison after finding them guilty of leading a thousand of people to protest Privy Council chairman Gen Prem Tinsulanonda at his Sisao Theves official residence on July 22, 2007.

NCPO: Involvement of blast suspects held in Mayalsia remains unconfirmed

BANGKOK, 16 September 2015 (NNT) - The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) Situation Monitoring Centre has informed the public that officials continue to interrogate suspects detained in Malaysia regarding the Bangkok bombings.


The NCPO statement says the officials are currently collecting additional evidence in order to tie the suspects to the bomb sites, as well as other related locations.

After the Royal Malaysia Police announced the apprehension of the three suspects, Thailand's Deputy National Police Commissioner General led a delegation to Malaysia to coordinate with domestic authorities and be briefed on interrogation results.

It remains unconfirmed whether the apprehended suspects are connected to the incidents. The NCPO will inform the public accordingly.

Fishing lodge's floatplane crashes in Alaska; 3 dead, 7 hurt

HM the King has no fever

BANGKOK: -- His Majesty the King has no fever. His pulse rate, blood pressure and breathing rate have returned to normal and can eat as normal, according to an announcement of the Royal Household Bureau issued on Wednesday.

Doctors treating HM the King reported that blood tests and X-rays showed that the inflammation of the lung has substantially eased and he could eat as normal.

However, doctors continue to provide food intravenously in conjunction with oxygen application and physical therapy, said the announcement.

Deputy PM Prawit: Police need time to delve into Ratchaprasong attack
