Collecting from whom? And taking to whom?

Can`t be too difficult to follow the trail.

Amazing that she didn't even bother to fill the car with cloths to back up her story?

Or clothes even. smile.png

That car must have had a huge bumper to fit all that inside smile.png

maybe it came out of her bumper

good catch by the BIB , but couldn't they have got more police in the photo ? and why are they not pointing to her ? blink.png

maybe upset their yaba shipment got sidetracked. facepalm.gif

Too bad they could not have let her continue to the destination and then see what transpired, using a tracking device. Maybe they might have caught a bigger player than the mule with the nice Camry ?

But if they did that the trail would lead back to police officers, local government officials and wealthy, influential businessmen.

You left out the Army

..since when do you take the word of a criminal...utter nonsense...."I only...."....

...sieze all her assets.....and do a full investigation....

...7 million dollars of drugs...no time to be half-*ssed....

there's an old adage all good things come to an end and for this lady it has she said she had already done two runs and got away with it I suppose you could say third time unlucky a good stretch in prison might make a difference .

They just happened to find the secret compartment in the bumper.

Tip off, sacrifice.

I thought the 210 million THB , would silence the TV tip-off gang . That is an awful big number to sacrifice !

That guy on her right looks like he sampled the wares.

That car must have had a huge bumper to fit all that inside :)

The usual nonsense reporting - nothing new, just read the story - have a little laugh and move on, never get too involved in these stories - just ongoing stupidity.

A competitor for a Darwin Award

They just happened to find the secret compartment in the bumper.

Tip off, sacrifice.

Tip Off? Nope. Not a tip off at all...

Drug smugglers these days have no idea what they are up against. rolleyes.gif

Contraband detection in LOS improved dramatically a few years ago with the introduction of Real time ZBV Compton back scatter contraband detection systems on the 4 main highways of Thailand, at all major airports, and all major ports.

Lets put it this way, when the inventor of the technology receives a Nobel Prize, you should understand that a major breakthrough has been achieved.

Vehicles can even be scanned while driving along the road...

And how much was she paid to do these drug runs I wonder? few thousand baht and petrol money? The risk doesn't seem worth it.

Amazes me how often people ask such stupid questions! Can you not read, or just not be bothered? Direct quote from the article:-

" saying she had been paid 300,000 baht to transport the drugs from Chiang Mai to Hat Yai, and that she completed the same trip on two previous occasions."

Did it took 14 police officers to stop 1 car?

Actually, I count 15 (shoulder at left of picture) and with a wide angle lens - maybe more!

Maybe they should send some of them to Koh Tao as they are so short staffed there they can not even contain a crime scene without the help of some locals!

Did it took 14 police officers to stop 1 car?

Taking into concideration their mentality 14 sounds just about right

wow... all that scaning ability yet old mate col Somchai managed to conceal that gun he carried onto the plane.

Must be a massive market for these pills somewhere. Nearly 2,5 million pills she alone has transported

Gotta keep all those buses minvans and taxis rolling along.

The car was driven by a woman cannot take to many chances.

If it was my wife driving it would have taken at least 14 coppers to stop her. biggrin.png

broken dreams , poor woman.Broken dreams , poor woman.

Broken dreams , poor woman.

ALL of those packages fit into the bumper of a Toyota Camry? shock1.gif

When a woman is driving you need a big bumper... ;)

Too bad they could not have let her continue to the destination and then see what transpired, using a tracking device. Maybe they might have caught a bigger player than the mule with the nice Camry ?

They cannot arrest the bigger players because they are military generals as has

always been in Thailand, whether it was with the heroin in the 70's, or the speed today, they are untouchable.

Do you people ever try to read any of the ORIGINAL POSTS---------- It distinctly says ------ 300,000btbah.gifbah.gifbah.gif

Third time's the charm?

300,000bht divided by 25years = 12000bht

Considering she's going to get a large bowl of rice porridge 25 yrs. seems about right.

12,000 bht a year, triple it to take into consideration her extra haulage dividends, she is going to be a 75 yr old woman before she gets out. By which time her 900,000 bht will just about buy her a bowl of rice porridge.

The irony is staggering.

Som Nom Na

Dont forget time off for good brown envelope, and reward from hat yai drug dealers fro returning merchandise

Too bad they could not have let her continue to the destination and then see what transpired, using a tracking device. Maybe they might have caught a bigger player than the mule with the nice Camry ?

After she was stopped no doubt somebody in the roadblock made a call ahead. Yes a tracking device would have been a good idea. After "interrogation" I am sure she will talk but the bigger player would have packed up and disappeared by then.
