Isis is going to have to spit a lot higher than they do now.

They do of course have the cash to buy surface to air missiles especially of the shoulder fired kind to create something of a Soviet-Afghanistan rerun.

If that might happen, how Putin responds could further escalate matters.

Well, in this case I would advise the allies to stay well clear of them when on a mission.

As do I. No fear of God, highly trained, and able - very true. But they DO have a GREAT fear of failure to follow their specific instructions. If ever (and whenever) there's an encounter between Russians & "allies" in the air, whatever happens WILL BE very deliberate and definitely NOT an "accident" or the result of anything but Putin's own expressed intent, RT or FM disclaimers & excuses notwithstanding.

The statement really says nothing. US and UK pilots are equally well trained and equally competent - all first tier. Tom Cruise/'Top Gun' ... 'Like anyone but a television-addicted mouth-breather thinks Hollywood has anything to do with this...
