having had the car vios sportivo for over 3yrs.i have just found out it has no back wiper .as its the first time to go out in torrential rain when i got back home i couldnt see to reverse back into the drive.is this the norm with toyota.

so looks like i have to make a trip to a garage.

There is no need to see in the rain just increase the number of amulets on the dashboard every thing will be fine.

the rain was so heavy both wing mirrors needed wiping so opening the window was NO NO. if it wasnt very important the journey 10minutes could have been put on hold.

This is Somchai, my head parking attendant. Fantastic employee, very loyal and never had a problem with reversing.

my reverse camera does not have nor need a wiper.

Jap-spec Imprezas had rear wipers too, but not the UK spec as standard (at least not my Blobeye, can't be sure about the old 'classics').

More the point, there is normally no concern whatsoever with anything going on behind you.

If you have only just found out the car has no rear wiper after 3 years, I would question your observation skills.

BMW 5 Series (F10) - No rear windscreen wiper.

BMW X5 (F15) - Has a rear windscreen wiper.

For the most part the Sedan / Hatchback (or 4x4 / SUV) theory holds true in that the Sedans (saloons) generally don't have a rear wiper.
