Tea or Coffee? What is your choice? Why? Brands?

Featured Replies

There has been an avalanche of coffee shops worldwide.

Tea - India, China & UK.

I am a coffee man - not too strong. Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon. Milk - minimal.

Your story?

Coffee , very seldom, if so, its a ''Capuccino'' with no sugar or carnation milk, zero percent fat milk if possible....

Once upon a time, there was a special lady in my life.

She had a penchant for short blacks (coffee - not men).

Short blacks used to blow my head off.

Tea.... M+S Red Box Fair Trade. Superb value and good tea. Treat from time to time... M+S Earl Grey.

Tea, Makro own brand Breakfast Tea (Yellow box) Bags, 120bht/100bags.

Spoon of sugar, dash of fresh Milk ..... each bag can make 2 mugs.

At least 2 mugs a day.

LOS - coffee - too many options.

That is the best coffee. Although I prefer the strong version of Duang Dee. Even now take some over to UK when I go as can't seem to find decent coffee there.

Yorkshire tea bags when I can get them or decent loose leaf Assam. I drink heaps of tea. 2 coffees a day is my max.

Tea! I go way overboard about tea, even write a blog about it, and drink lots.

Ordinarily that's my cue to add a link to that blog to get people to read more about it but given everyone is just on coffee I'll skip that part.

As for which types, my favorite is Wuyi Yancha, Da Hong Pao and such, darker roasted oolongs from Wuyishan, Fujian, China.

Thai teas are almost all lightly oxidized oolongs, not my current favorite, but I tried a really nice Thai black tea recently, probably my favorite I've tried from this country.
