Can anyone help with this problem. Perhaps it is something obvious that I should be doing!

I browse SCRIBD using an Android tablet. I access the latest SCRIBD format and have an account.

Here's the problem. Suppose I type 'Elephant' in the Search box. The results load up as Books, Audios, Documents and Collections.

I select Documents and the results load as a vertical list of icons. A 'Filter' box appears on the RH side of screen.

I select PDF, English and Free and the results are presented.

Now, there might be 500,00 documents. I scroll down checking the titles until I find on of interest and click on it. A new page loads with the title central. I can now select 'Read' or 'Add to Library' etc.

Now, when I have finished with that title I click the Android tab 'return' button on the bottom toolbar OR the 'back' arrow on the Scribd top left bar and the screen goes back to the Document list page BUT TO THE START! To continue browsing I have to scroll through the whole list to get to the point that I selected a title to view.

Is there a way to get back to the 'reached' point in the list without having to go through the all the titles browsed thus far?

Clearly, if I am some 200 titles downlist before finding a document of interest, I don't want to go through the previous 200 again!

Any constructive help will be welcomed.

That is normal behavior for a page that's being re-requested.

If you want to preserve the current displayed page then I suggest Long-Pressing the link and opening the item in a second (or additional) window.

This will preserve the position of the originating windows (so long as the browser or running script doesn't cause it to refresh).

Simply close the additional window when finished,

Thanks for your response.I just tried it.

The 'link' in this case is the icon of the document I wish to view. I just tried a long press and nothing happens until you take your finger off when - as for a short press - it opens the selected item in a new page. There is no option to open in a new window as with MS OS Windows. At the top lefthand of that Scribd page is a back arrow with the name of the subject document implying that, if the back arrow is pressed it will return to the list page. But it doesn't, it goes to the list start.
