Apple Music can restore offline music ?

Featured Replies

Got a 6s, hand me down to the mrs ( not really into gadgets )

Anyway - restore worked well, except for 21 GB of offline songs Apple Music

Cant find a way to restore, anyone has a solution ?

Where is the "21 GB of offline songs Apple Music" currently stored, iTunes, iCloud, somewhere else??

Have you connected your phone with the computer running iTunes software, or

is your phone set up to use the same iCloud account where the music is stored?

Bit of a noob w Apple music. It was on my phone, and I backed it up with iTunes on my laptop. I assumed that when you restore from iTunes on the laptop, it would restore the off-line music. Obviously that's not the case

If the 'music' was originally 'ripped'/imported into iTunes software on a PC/MAC then it should still be on the originating computer system holding it. You just need to connect your 'new' iPhone to the same PC/MAC and register it with that iTunes system and select what music get's synced to the newly associated iPhone.

If you are subscribed to an iCloud music service then you need to associate the new iPhone to the same iCloud account the previous iPhone containing your music was associated.

Cheers... did that.... nothing happened....

All the titles were on the phone, but it was clear they were in the cloud, not on my phone.

Last night click on all artists / playlists with > 5 songs, and "make off line" ( or something like that ).

still many left <5 songs, but can sacrifice for the time being ( only from cloud )
