30 Days for G7 Country citizens

Featured Replies

Is the 30 day visa exempt still valid for land crossings by citizens of G7 countries? The Thai Embassy in Canada website says its only 15 days!!

Best you ask the Canadian Thai Embassy to fix the web site.

All passport holders of G7 countries can obtain a 30 day visa exempt entry at land borders if they qualify.

( There are restrictions on the number of V.V.E's that an be had at certain border crossings)

Many of these websites are poorly maintained and .outdated

If more people complained maybe some action would be taken ?

I am "Right" but note I also said there are restrictions on the number of visa exempt entries that can be had at certain border crossings.

Your friend should ensure he has the required visas before leaving home.

From: http://www.consular.go.th/main/contents/filemanager/VISA/Visa%20on%20Arrival/VOA_25_08_58.pdf

"** If such nationals enter the Kingdom at the immigration checkpoints which border neighboring countries, they will be allowed to stay for 15 days each time, except (1) Malaysian nationals who cross the borderline from Malaysia, (2) Nationals of the G7 countries: USA, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan, whose granted period of stay will not exceed 30 days each time.In addition, such nationals who hold diplomatic and official passports are also practically exempted from visa for tourism."
