GlucoLeader Enhance Blood Sugar Monitoring Device

Featured Replies

I was diagnosed with diabetes type 2 roughly about 8 years ago. On the recommendation of a friend of mine I bought a blood sugar monitoring device called EasyGluco. All these years I used it I found this device reliable and very easy to use. I then lived in Pattaya and could quite easily buy test strips at Fascino for 950 Baht for 2x25 pack.. Some time ago we built a house in upper Surin province and moved here and now all my test strips supply I usually bought in Pattaya are used up. EasyGluco is not sold at any pharmacy around here and I was told they can't order them for me.

Lately I googled on Lazada Thailand and found interesting offers for a device called "GlucoLeader Enhance." A device with 50 lancets and 50 test strips is sold for 1'290 Baht here and at least once a week you get on Lazada a 12% discount offer when you pay with LINE Pay. That is very cheap. A refill of 50 lancets with 50 test strips is offered for a mere 550 Baht. Very cheap! Today I bought another supply of 100 lancets with test strips for 1'100 Baht less 12% = net 968 Baht. Good deal, isn't it? Only:

The test strips aren't easy to use, about one on two doesn't even work.

My question: are there any other TV members who are using GlucoLeader Enhance? If so, what is your experience with the test strips? I'd be very interested to read some reviews. Thank you.

Check whether the glucometer that you are using is USFDA and THAI FAD approved. Stick to Accucheck products. A lot of glucometre from Taiwan, Korea nd Chine do not have proper certification are are not accurate in their readings. As far as possible, stay away from medical devices made in Taiwan, China and Korea.

Most approved devices are probably made in China.

The device is not the cost.

Sticks are the money.

Hopefully invasive tests will be gone soon, integrated into the mobile phone.

The device is not the cost. I know that, too.

Sticks are the money. You mean, the test strips. Of course I know that as well. I mentioned the comparison between 50 strips of EasyGluco for 950 Baht and 50 of GlucoLeader which cost half of what EasyGluco charges. I would really prefer to pay double the price, but I'm unable to get them.
Yes, GlucoLeader is made in Taiwan and Germany. When you buy something like this online, not many people go and find out where the device is made. I don't think it really matters where things are produced. Most good things are nowadays made in China, by the way, just think about the iPhone you use to call which originates from the most profitable company on this planet.

best is new accu-check performa. Test strips Bt395 for 25

In Australia you can get various brands of meters for nothing or a ridiculously low price but only a specific strip will work in them. Even with Accu-chek you must use the appropriate strips for that model = and most strips are similar in price.
