VAT Refund on any Apple Store in BKK?

Hello everyone,

I'll be travelling to BKK next week and I'm planning to purchase an iPhone from BKK. As far as I know I can claim VAT refund at the Airport.

Anyone knows any Apple Store who gives VAT Refund receipt?

The VAT refund scheme works OK, but be certain to get the form stamped by customs at the airport BEFORE you go through security. You then get the refund processed later in the duty-free area. They dont make this at all clear (deliberately?) and once through security you've had it as you cant go back.

Another option is just to buy in the duty-free area, if your item is available there. I found that prices of my Samsung tablet there were identical to the ex-VAT price in shops outside. Obviously YMMV.

Remember to keep your phone with you after you pass passport check because they want to see your device in vat refund office where you'll get your payment.

DTAC in Siam Paragon also provide VAT refund forms. On the third floor, if I remember correctly.

Assuming you're after a 6S, you may not find one easily: they've just been released here

Alternatively you can buy iPhone 6S from MBK at lower prices, so you will get your discount instantly! (no, they don't offer vat refund for import products)
