Hi guys,

I got to pick up my new professional refridgerator ( 2 doors glass windows) but it is a bit high ( 205 cm) to transport it upright in my Isuzu Dmax pick up truck. Can I transport it on its side for about 10 km and if so after how long can I plug it in? The compressor is on top.

Greetings.

They normally say to leave it overnight so I'd wait 8-12 hours but check the user manual, it should tell you in there.

I've got a couple of these big two door refrigerators with glass doors and they told me to wait until the next day when they delivered them.

You should not lay a refrigeration unit down , however if you have to then you should wait at least 12-24 hours before gas can resettle as it suppose to.

obviously 24 is best.

Well it is true.*

Why do we have to accept it without explanation? Same as I dont understand why the op has to lie down his refrigerator in isuzu dmax.

That's because the slang 'fridge' comes from the Frigidaire brand refrigerator which was introduce in USA around 1920.

*It was not about spelling you jumped up nugget ,it was a question related however vaguely to the OP ,get over it and find something or someone else to give you a reason for your existence.
