I have been living in Thailand for 10+ years. For almost 9 years now, I have been holding several unsecured Thai credit cards. Many of them with credit limits in excess of 700-800 K THB.

For all these, I have been prompt with my payments & do not owe anything to the card companies. Every year, I get a mail from the card companies that they have forwarded my details to the Thai credit bureau (informing me that they have sent a good rating & so on). Presumably, by now, I must be having a decent record at the Thai credit bureau.

I am wondering if there is any practical benefit of having a good record with the Thai credit bureau (for a foreigner). I mean, apart from applying for more credit cards or having my credit limit increased (which all card issuers seem to do every year). Can I apply for any other kind of loans, etc?

Thanks.
