I need a tourist visa to China as I am traveling to Shenzhen on November 21.

According to the latest information of the Embassy of China website I have to apply at the new visa service center.

I quote: "Starting from Sep 22th 2015, all the ordinary passport holders wishing to visit the mainland of China are requested to apply for visas, and all the applications are requested to apply for the Chinese Consular Authentication at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC). "

Anyone tried to apply at the Chinese embassy since then? I mean this application center is charging a nice extra fee.

It also says on the website of this application center that I have to make an appointment but I can't find the link.

It say's " Please click here to make an appointment for your visit to the Centre. Visiting the Centre without an appointment may cause a longer waiting time. (Template 2)

Please click here for the location of the Visa Centre and office working hours."

But there is no link, I tried to click in Google Chrome as well as in Firefox. There are definitely no links.

thx so much, I should have looked further around, already done the appointment

now I filled out

visa application and PP pictures

and in addition have:

invitation letter from friend in shenzhen and contact details

copies of PP and Visa for thailand

marriage certificate of thai wife and her id card and tabien baan copy

flight details printed out

just want to stay 5 days, should be enough for the papers then, right?
