Maybe part of the training program for the additinal 200 police who were sent/ stationed to Puket a couple weeks ago.

Everyone crowd around so we have a good group photo to show the boss, when he wants a recap of the days arrest record.

If Checked luggage on planes or buses, is not a secure place to put your old used shoes, Pukets reputation as a cesspool of Thailand has been dug a little deeper.

8 cops for a pair of shoes. They missed the guy with the gun in his bag getting on the plane to Japan but snaffle the pink panther shoe lifter

And they missed comment about how he had the opportunity to open bags and check what's inside and the lack of supervision to prevent such activity....

The majority of times I arrive at Phuket Airport from Bangkok, I find my luggage has been opened (broken seals).

I don't have any valueables in there so don't care too much. But it nevered happened with such consistency anywhere else.

The moment you arrive in the province of Phuket, you'll have to be prepared for all kinds of scams.

From the airport, to the taxis, to staff at gasoline stations and 7/11 "forgetting" part of the change, to vendors giving you falang prices, to sellers at the market misreading the scales and rounding prices up...
