connda
What vegetables are typically grown during the Cool Season? I live in Northern Thailand in a mountain valley in Lamphun Province. Any info would be appreciated.

djayz
Hi Connda. I live in Korat and am not familiar with your neck of the woods. I do a bit of hobby gardening here in Isan and I found last year and this year that just about everything grows better in the cold season. Everything except carrots that is, but I believe that is due to the soil being do hard and compact more so than the weather. Good luck and get your veggies in asap. Last year I found the period from Nov. to Jan./Feb to be the best time for the vegetables.

slapout
Purple top turnips should grow and produce a good sized veggie if taken care of. Good for human and animal consumption, not sure about the Thai consumption but they just do not know what they are missing, then again, maybe they do.
