Cycling shorts (padded and or chamois) in chiang mai or Thai mail order (in Thailand only not waiting a month for china post).. Need them now as getting saddle sore.

Big guy so asian sizes dont work.. 2 or 3XL looking at most size charts.

Dont know the bike shop scene here so no idea if anywhere is going to have them.

I got my first pair of padded nappies from sports world at the top of kad suan gaew. i recall they have two varieties, for around 450bt and 700bt.

The cheaper pair is cheaper becasue the padding isnt as robust.

I got a second pair from Mae Sai, 600bt, some nice liverage and a good quality pair that shows of the package extremely wellbiggrin.png

I think you are south of the city...there is a great bianchi shop just approaching Hang Dong almost opposite the koolpanview? moo baan, and just at the start of all the shops, some great kit in there, not the cheapest but you know its quality.

Warning; it takes some confidence to get off the bike and walk around looking like a <deleted>..........I am used to it so didnt bother me.

Thanks.. I am south and will check that..

Stupidly I ordered on lazada without realizing the item 'will come from abroad' and need some ASAP as getting uncomfortable / losing skin..

Price (within reason) not a big deal..

Velocity (Huay Gaew near Nat Motors) will definitely have what you're looking for. If not, the shop on the inner NE corner of the moat has a large selection. Not sure of the name, there's a large LA Bike sign, but in Thai it says ซังจักรยาน (Sang Jakkayan) but I think people also call it Chaitawit? Whatever it's called, the staff has always been nice, and even let me exchange some tires/tubes when I learned (the hard way) that 26" wheels come in a variety of flavors (standard, French, etc).

Sports World at KSK might have what you need if all else fails.

Someone had told me of a large place between mae hea and ratchapuek.. Closed for NY..

Velocity said they didnt sell clothes.. Sent me down the rd to Arm Bikes.. Also closed..

Sportsworld had a few.. Felt like over priced for quality but was tired of searching..

Tommo Bike on the junction of 121/Canal Road/Samoeng Road at Malada have CCN shorts. Some tips: Don't wear underpants with these shorts, no need at all because the padding is there to do its job; Buy good quality (not 600 baht from some market); Use shorts with bibs (bib shorts are braced) especially if you are older. Don't feel like a prat: Cycling shorts are for cycling just as swimming costumes are for swimming. They are comfortable and worthwhile. I've been wearing cycling shorts of one description or another for 55 years when cycling.

Havent worn underpants since 2002.. so all good there ;) I do feel a pratt, especially as am a fat <deleted>, but if thats the most foolish I look this year month week weekend, all good :)

The 'best' pair that fitted were 1400, who knew there was so much money in stretchy pants !! Am in the wrong game.. I bought my entire Trek 4300, disc brakes and etc etc for 2000, the shorts cost 70% of my bike !!

Anyway thanks for the advice all.. Still have a lazada pair on route too..
