2nd UK visa for Thai wife

Featured Replies

I plan to take my Thai/British 11 year old son to the UK in March, I'll be there with him for 2 weeks then I'll be coming back, my son will stay with his grandparents for 10 weeks, on the final week his mum will be flying in to the UK to spend that final week with our son and his grandparents.

We all travelled together the last time we all went to the UK so visas, flights etc were pretty straightforward, this time however, not so due to the differing arrival/departure dates.

We'll all be flying with Eva Air who have been very easy and accommodating to work with, I'm in need of some experiences with the visa thing though.

I still have all of the info we submitted 5 years ago for my wife's first UK visit but as she'll be visiting alone, without me, will that create new problems?

Thanks in advance for any experiences!

It shouldn't cause a problem, as long as your wife submits evidence with her application is that the proposed visit is genuine, affordable and that she is likely to return to your home l can see no reason why a visa shouldn't be issued.

In her covering she might want to explain the reasoning behind the structure of the visit as well as detailing your joint ties to Thailand.
