travelling abroad with farang noi

Featured Replies

The wife and I are thinking of taking a holiday to Indonesia. We did the 'village wedding' but did not get around to registering the marriage at the amphur office.

When travelling with our 15 month old does the wife have to add the babies name on her passport? Should we carry a copy of the birth certificate?

cheers

You will need to get the child their own Thai passport..

While you are at it it would be worth while getting your child a passport from your nation too.

There is no need or requirement to carry the birth certificate, that said, I always carry a color photocopy in a side pocket of my sons bag.

Mac

and the point of your comment is what exactly?

Your village marriage is not recognised in law.
