49-Year-Old Woman Takes Her Own Life at Home, Leaves Apology Letter to Sister
Picture from responders. An incident occurred on March 3 in Phatthalung province when a 49-year-old woman ended her life in her home, leaving behind a letter apologising to her sister. Police Lieutenant Colonel Pawit Maiprasong, along with medical staff and emergency responders from Pa Bon, arrived at the scene at house number 483/11, Moo 6, Mae Khri subdistrict, in the town of Takhom. The residence was a single-storey concrete house, and upon entering the bedroom, authorities discovered the body of Ms. Jutaporn, aged 49, lying lifeless on her bed without a blanket. Two charcoal stoves were found at the scene, with burnt coals still emitting faint heat. Nearby, investigators found charcoal, a knife, and Scotch tape, which had been used to seal the door to prevent smoke from escaping. In addition, a letter was found that read: “I’m sorry, sister. I’m sorry for what I’ve done. You’ve helped me so much already, but I’m so tired and can’t go on anymore. Goodbye.” Further inquiry revealed that Ms. Jutaporn, who lived alone. She was the youngest sister and was looked after by her older sister and relatives who lived nearby. Last year, she had attempted to take her life in the same manner, but was saved by her niece. Since then, she had been struggling with depression and was briefly treated at Phatthalung Hospital, although she stopped attending appointments after feeling better. On the night of the incident, she had been conversing with relatives as usual, but in the morning, they became concerned when she did not open her stall at the Mae Khri market. They later found her deceased at her home. Condo Technician Shot Dead on Way Home in Bangkok
Picture courtesy of Khoasod. A 29-year-old condo maintenance technician was shot dead while riding his motorcycle home from work in Bangkok. The victim, who had recently enrolled at a well-known vocational college, was gunned down just 100 metres from his residence. The fatal shooting occurred at around 20:00 on 3 March, in Soi Borommaratchachonnani 78, Lane 4, Thawi Watthana district. Police from Thammasala Station, forensic teams, and rescue workers responded to the scene. The victim, identified as Mr. Phongsakorn “Pure” (29), was found lying on his back in a grassy area near the roadside. He had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the right temple, with the bullet exiting through his left. Near his body, police found his black Honda PCX motorcycle (registration from Bangkok), which had toppled over. His yellow crash helmet bore a bullet hole, and his black shoulder bag was collected as evidence. Eyewitnesses reported hearing the sound of two motorcycles chasing each other, followed by two gunshots. Initially, they assumed the victim had lost control and crashed into a fence, but upon closer inspection discovered the gunshot wound and immediately alerted the authorities. Police suspect that the victim was ambushed while riding home and attempted to flee but was shot in the head, with the bullet piercing his helmet. Detectives are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to trace the shooter’s escape route. The motive remains unclear, but police are investigating whether the attack was linked to vocational college rivalries, as the victim had enrolled at a well-known technical institute in Pathumwan just one month prior. According to his close friends, the victim had been frequently attending college in recent weeks, but it was unclear if he had been involved in any disputes.. Authorities are continuing their investigation and pursuing the gunman, who remains at large. -- 2025-03-04
